The high-intensity housed drum is ideal for the continuous removal of tramp-iron contaminants from any dry bulk material. It is often installed in the most demanding applications and is highly reliable at extracting contaminants.
Housed drums can be mounted at the discharge end of conveyors, vibratory feeders or in-line chute sections. Very powerful rare-earth magnets are housed in a robust stainless steel drum shell. The magnets stay static while the drum rotates, so the unit cleans itself continuously.
Units are available for flow rates from 5 to 500 m³/h and for contaminant loads of up to 50% of total product volume.
