Explosion Proof Electrical Isolation Equipment for

Potentially Explosive Atmospheres

Hazardous area Ex e isolators provide safe electrical isolation for low voltage power in Zone 1 & Zone 2 (gases) and Zone 21 & Zone 22 (dusts) explosive atmospheres.

ATEX certified isolators manufactured by Craig & Derricott with Ex e Explosion Proof Protection are available with current ratings 25A-180A housed in IP65 glass reinforced polyester enclosures.

The operating handles come standard in Red/Yellow and can be padlocked in the ‘Off’ position. All lids are mechanically interlocked with the isolating switch and are removable in the ‘On’ position only.

All load switching interiors are supplied in either 3 or 4 pole formats complete with 1 N/O (Early break) & 1 N/C (Late make) auxillary contacts – a range of fire rated/resistant isolators are also available.

Increased Safety

Craig & Derricott Ex e isolators are housed glass reinforced polyester enclosures. The assemblies come predrilled with three entries as shown on the dimension drawings.

Cable glands are not supplied with the isolator assemblies however glands for un-armoured cables can be fitted directly to the standard units while brass earth continuity plates can be ordered separately for use with armoured cables.
