Fragile and irregular products such as crisps, frozen food or sweets are weighed with a multihead weigher. Free-flowing granules at moderate speed can use a linear weigher or, where weight accuracy is less critical, a volumetric cup doser. Powders such as flour, coffee or spices need a servo auger doser.
A multihead weigher combines many small weighings and reaches high speeds with irregular products. A linear weigher is simpler and cheaper and suits free-flowing granules at lower speeds.
