Powders cannot be weighed on a multihead weigher – they are dosed by volume with a precisely controlled screw (auger). This servo-driven auger doser fills flour, coffee, cocoa, milk powder, spices and other powders accurately into vertical packaging machines.
The servo motor turns the auger by an exact number of revolutions for each dose, and an agitator in the hopper keeps the product flowing evenly. Up to 99 programs store the settings for different products and weights.
The auger and hopper can be dismantled without tools for cleaning and product change. The doser works with intermittent VFFS, doypack and square-pack machines and is fed by a screw elevator.
Powders do not flow reliably through weigh buckets and create dust. A servo auger doses them accurately by volume in a closed system.
