The intermittent vertical form fill seal machine is the most versatile machine of the range. It forms pillow, gusseted and block-bottom bags from a flat reel of film and fills them with products weighed by a multihead weigher, linear weigher or doser. Three sizes cover bag widths up to 300, 400 and 500 mm.
The machine packs dry and frozen food, fresh produce, pasta, rice and pulses, sweets, pet food and non-food products. Formers can be exchanged quickly for different bag widths, and recipes store the settings of each product. A compact inclined version is available for low ceilings and for feeding from a short elevator.
Heated sealing jaws with independent temperature control seal laminated and mono-material films. The film is pulled by servo-driven belts with photocell registration for printed film. Gusseting and block-bottom devices create bags that stand on the shelf.
The 300 mm machine reaches up to 60 bags per minute and suits retail bags from about 50 g to 2 kg. The 400 and 500 mm machines handle larger bags for 2–10 kg and catering packs. For higher outputs, see the continuous-motion machine or the dual-tube machine.
The bag width decides: up to 300 mm for most retail packs, 400 or 500 mm for larger bags. Send us your bag dimensions and we select the size.
