This dual-tube machine splits one reel of film into two webs and forms two lines of bags at once, fed by a single doser. It nearly doubles the output of a single-tube machine for small bags, without doubling the floor space, the operators or the investment.
With more than 90 bags per minute, one dual-tube machine replaces two small machines. Only one reel needs changing and one doser feeds both tubes, which reduces changeover time and the cost of the line.
The concept suits small bags of sugar, salt, sweets, nuts, seeds and single portions where high speed is needed but bag widths are small. A multihead weigher with dual discharge or a cup doser feeds the two tubes.
The film from one reel is slit into two webs, each formed around its own tube, and one doser with two outlets fills both lines.
