MEDC XB13 | Hazardous Area Beacon | ATEX Beacons Zone 1 & Zone 2 Beacons 10 Joule
MEDC XB13 are listed beacons designed for use in potentially explosive atmospheres and harsh environmental conditions.
MEDC LD15 are ATEX Beacons that have been designed for use in potentially Explosive Atmospheres and harsh environmental conditions in ATEX & IECEx Zone 1 and Zone 2 hazardous areas.
MEDC LD15 are ATEX Beacons that have been designed for use in potentially Explosive Atmospheres and harsh environmental conditions in ATEX & IECEx Zone 1 and Zone 2 hazardous areas.
The housings are manufactured completely from a UV stable glass reinforced polyester.
Stainless steel screws and mounting bracket are available ensuring a totally corrosion free product.
The Eaton MEDC LD15 incorporates a low maintenance, innovative LED array, which has a life of up to 54,000 hours. The low current consumption design of the LED beacon allows an energy efficient solution without compromising light output.
The high output LED beacon with explosion protection concept Ex d can be painted to customers specification and supplied with identification labels.
Contact our team for customer service, competitive quotations and availability from stock for the MEDC range of sounders, including MEDC LD15, for safe use in hazardous areas with explosive atmospheres.
The MEDC LD15 hazardous area beacon is available in a choice of variants with mounting options for weatherproof and ordinary locations.
The MEDC range of sounders and beacons from the Crouse Hinds series of Signalling & Alarms – a comprehensive range of Explosion Proof call points are also available with ATEX & IECEx certification and explosion protection to both Ex d (flameproof) and Ex ia (Intrinsically Safe) applications.
*For 60Hz please refer to the US datasheet

The following code is designed to help in selection of the correct MEDC hazardous area beacon with ATEX approval and certification.
Eaton MEDC
Eaton MEDC have developed ATEX products, including ATEX Beacons, designed for harsh and hazardous area conditions and where there is a risk of explosion due to the presence of flammable gas and dust atmospheres both onshore and offshore – since 1975 MEDC have been designers and manufacturers of alarm, signal, control and communications equipment.
Complete range of LV-HV Cable Joints, Terminations, Cleats & Glands are available to support installation of power, control and instrumentation cables up to 33kV – includes Cold Shrink for use in hazardous areas to provide electrical insulation and cable protection.
