VEGA VEGAPULS 69 radar level sensor provides continuous level measurement of bulk solids under difficult process conditions in small to large vessels such as very high silos, large bunkers and segmented vessels providing exact measuring results independent of vapour, dust or noise.

The VEGAPULS 69 has an encapsulated plastic antenna or a lens antenna integrated in the metal flange which allows for the level sensor to be adapted to different application areas. The VEGAPULS 69 has very good signal focussing and a maintenance free operation, simple set up and reliable measurement.

VEGA level sensors are suitable for use in hazardous areas and their instruments also have various ship approvals such as e.g. DNV, GL, LRS or ABS.

Function

Extremely short microwave pulses are emitted by the antenna system in the direction of the measured product, reflected by the product surface and received back again by the antenna system.

The time from emission to reception of the signals is proportional to the level in the vessel. A special time stretching procedure allows reliable and precise measurement of the extremely short signal running times.
