The SWECO Sono-Energy system separates light bulk powders and prevents blinding of fine screens (60 to 635 mesh) with a secondary ultrasonic vibration. It suits applications such as epoxy powders, pigments and powder coatings, and is also effective with dense metal powders such as lead, nickel and chrome.
Sono-Waves circular separators excite the whole screen surface with even energy distribution and allow amplitude and frequency adjustment. The generator is available in 100 W and 200 W versions and can drive two screens at once, simplifying two-stage separations. The ultrasonic converter is mounted outside the separator, so it can be used safely in ATEX zones.
