Areamaster Generation 2 Series Increased Safety LED Zone 2 LED Floodlights manufactured by Appleton ATX provides excellent LED performance for hazardous areas designated as Zone 2 (Gas) / Zone 21 and Zone 22 (Dust) locations with a three lumen outputs providing up to 19,500 lumens. The redesigned Areamaster floodlight provides greater versatility, with models from 9,000 to 19,500 lumens and a choice of beam patterns. The Areamaster Generation 2 LED floodlights provide HID-equivalent lighting that saves over 75 percent in energy costs and the floodlights are certified for both industrial and ordinary locations and rated for use in NEC and CEC installations. Enclosed and gasketed lighting fixtures suitable for use in a wide range of industrial, chemical processing and other hazardous areas where flammable gases and vapors (explosive atmospheres) are present or where wet, dirty and tough environments are a problem.
It is always important for worker safety to have the correct illumination. Lighting choices are especially critical in hazardous area locations, where correct illumination is a must, with superior explosion protection and increased safety. Hazardous area floodlighting is an excellent way to brighten work areas, open spaces, roadways, process areas. The NEMA 7×6 pattern provides maximum width and forward throw for wider illumination spread, while the NEMA 5×5 pattern is an excellent choice for delivering light from a high mount. Visors, guards, and 3000K color temperature are all available and can be used to create Dark Sky friendly lighting solutions.
