Flameproof & Increased Safety Breather Drains

Raxton Exd/Exe hazardous area breather drains are designed to effectively drain moisture from an enclosure, allow air from the enclosure to vent into the surrounding atmosphere to minimise moisture build up and provide the explosion proof safety required by a hazardous area environments – adaptors are ATEX Certified.

The Breather Drain, manufactured by Raxton, is fastened to the lowest point of the enclosure by means of a spanner. This is an assembled item and must not be taken apart at any stage of installation. The O-ring will seal against the enclosure face enhancing the I.P. rating of the Plug. Raxton Exe/Exd breather drains are tested to IP66.

Raxton breather drains have an impact resistance of 20 Nm and can operate at temperatures between -50°c to 230°c.

Raxton flameproof (Exd) and increased safety (Ex e) breather drains are marked with the applicable approval number and size.

Raxton Exe & Exd metallic drain plugs are available in a variety of finishes including Nickel, Electro Zinc, Zinc Passivated, Chromatised, Electroless Nickel and Anodised.
