VEGA VEGAPULS 62 radar level sensor provides continuous level measurement of liquids under difficult conditions, including those within storage containers, reactors and process vessels providing exact measuring results independent of pressure, temperature, gas or steam.

The VEGAPULS 62 is the optimal solution for almost all applications and processes and has maintenance free operation using various antenna versions and materials utilising a non-contact measuring principle.

VEGA level sensors are suitable for use in hazardous areas and their instruments also have various ship approvals such as e.g. DNV, GL, LRS or ABS.

Function

Extremely short microwave pulses are emitted by the antenna system in the direction of the measured product, reflected by the product surface and received back again by the antenna system.

The time from emission to reception of the signals is proportional to the level in the vessel. A special time stretching procedure allows reliable and precise measurement of the extremely short signal running times.
