Level Sensor VEGA VEGAPULS 66

VEGA VEGAPULS 66 radar level sensor provides continuous level measurement of liquids under arduous process conditions, even with strongly agitated media including those within storage tanks, process vessels or standpipes providing exact measuring results independent of the process conditions.

The VEGAPULS 66 can be used universally due to a variety of antenna options and has a maintenance free operation due to the non-contact measuring principle.

VEGA level sensors are suitable for use in hazardous areas and their instruments also have various ship approvals such as e.g. DNV, GL, LRS or ABS.

Function

Extremely short microwave pulses are emitted by the antenna system in the direction of the measured product, reflected by the product surface and received back again by the antenna system.

The time from emission to reception of the signals is proportional to the level in the vessel. A special time stretching procedure allows reliable and precise measurement of the extremely short signal running times.
