The bucket elevator lifts the product gently from a low infeed to the multihead weigher above the bagging machine. Product rests in the buckets during transport, which protects fragile items such as crisps and nuts.
Because the product is carried rather than pushed, breakage is minimal. The buckets discharge into the weigher feed cone, controlled by a level sensor.
The elevator feeds the multihead weigher of a high-speed or continuous VFFS machine. For lower heights see the Z-type bucket elevator.
