Hinged rare-earth magnetic strips are versatile and can be used in many different processes. They are normally installed over conveyors and vibratory feeders to attract tramp-iron contaminants and any loose parts that have fallen in during manufacturing or packing.
The unit has two rows of magnetic material along its full length. These rows generate high-intensity magnetic flux fields with a reach of about 85 mm from the face of the unit. By design, the magnetic field is present on one side only, so nearby sensitive processing equipment is not affected.
Moving contaminants can be attracted from the conveyor surface even when trapped under the product, for example a biscuit. As the units are made entirely of stainless steel, they can be cleaned with water and chemicals.
