Optimised flow passages raise efficiency significantly. A flexible discharge valve plate prevents over-compression, and closed-loop service liquid with a heat exchanger greatly reduces water consumption.
Flanged connections between body and side covers make the large pump rigid and vibration-resistant; horizontal disassembly is possible where space is tight. The impeller shroud ring is moved inward to stop deposits and reduce the effect of scaling.
Connections are compatible with the existing single-stage range, so it can replace older pumps without changing the pipework, and several parts are interchangeable. A partition can create two vacuum levels from one pump.
