The high-intensity underflow separator is designed for demanding conditions where contaminants are relatively large, such as nuts and bolts.
The unit has two magnetic poles that generate high-intensity magnetic fields. It is fixed to the chute with a full hinge and clamp-closure assembly; the clamps ensure equal pressure around the seal to prevent product leakage.
The underflow magnet can be fitted into any angled pipe or chute section, typically at raw-material intakes for cereals, rice, maize, bran and animal feed. Two capture zones ensure that attracted contaminants cannot be washed off.
Because the magnet is usually installed in angled chute sections, products of any particle size can pass over it. Safety opening sensors can be built in to stop the process if the unit is opened accidentally.
