The fan stack surrounds the fan and shapes the airflow. A well-designed stack with an elliptical inlet, a tight fan section and a velocity-recovery cone can noticeably improve fan efficiency.
The elliptical inlet guides the air smoothly into the fan, the tight fan section keeps tip clearance small and the flared velocity-recovery section converts velocity into static pressure, which saves fan power.
Stacks are available from 6 to 18 ft high, with access doors and fire protection as options. They match the fan diameter and the deck opening.
