In a continuous-motion form fill seal machine the film never stops: the horizontal sealing jaws travel with the film while they seal. The result is higher output, smoother film handling and gentler treatment of light, fragile products. Two versions are available – a high-output general version and a snack version with air compression and gas flushing.
Because the film does not accelerate and stop for every bag, the machine reaches up to 110 bags per minute with less film stress and fewer seal defects. The sealing pressure of the horizontal jaws is adjustable, which gives strong, tight seals on difficult laminates.
For crisps, extruded snacks and nuts, the snack version compresses excess air out of the bag and flushes it with nitrogen to extend shelf life. It reaches up to 75 bags per minute with the classic snack pillow bag.
