Product Overview
The BFW MCR is a fast, compact horizontal machining centre built for machining lines that produce powertrain components for passenger cars and light commercial vehicles. Its narrow width lets you place several machines side by side, and its single-lift design means quick installation.
Line-friendly by design
The MCR fits easily into machining lines. On-line hydraulics, single-lift transport and a choice of pallet-changer-less layouts or NC, rotary and tilting tables let you match each machine to its operation in the line.
Fast and accurate
Rapid traverse reaches 60 m/min on the H 320 MCR and 50 m/min on the larger models. Tool-to-tool time is 2.4 to 2.5 seconds and chip-to-chip time 3.9 to 5.0 seconds. Positioning accuracy is 0.010 mm and repeatability 0.007 mm to ISO 230-2.
Spindles and controls
Directly coupled spindles run at 8000 rpm as standard, with 10,000 or 12,000 rpm options, using BT30 / HSK A50 on the H 320 and BT40 / HSK A63 on the H 400 and H 500. The H 500 MCR can also take a high-torque Fanuc spindle with 250 Nm and 14,000 rpm. Choose Siemens 828D, Mitsubishi M80 or Fanuc 0i-MF.
Options for line integration
Options include a servo rotary pallet changer, a continuous 0.001° rotary table, 4th and 5th axis tables, through-spindle coolant at 16 or 40 bar, minimum quantity lubrication, thermal compensation sensors, a tool breakage sensor and CE certification. For larger parts, compare the BFW Orion HMC.
