Regular inspection and repair keep a cooling tower at its design capacity and prevent unplanned shutdowns. Experienced crews inspect and repair the mechanical equipment, the heat-transfer components and the structure of crossflow and counterflow towers of any make.
The work starts with a condition survey: gearbox oil and vibration, fan blades and pitch, drive shaft couplings, fill fouling, drift eliminator damage, nozzle condition, basin and structure. You receive a prioritised report with photos and a quotation.
Damaged components are replaced with equivalent or improved parts – gearboxes, fans, drive shafts, fill, drift eliminators, nozzles and FRP members.
In multi-cell towers one cell at a time is isolated, so the plant keeps running. Larger works are scheduled into planned shutdowns.
At least once a year, and before each planned shutdown so that parts can be ordered in time.
The tower make and model or cell size, photos of the nameplate and the existing part, dimensions and quantities. For new towers and upgrades: water flow, hot and cold water temperatures, wet-bulb temperature, water quality and site location.
